The gift that keeps giving

“Listen, are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?” - Mary Oliver

As life would have it, I saw and heard the Mary Oliver quote above from my restorative yoga teacher, and also, my restorative yoga student. Life speaks, and I have availed myself to listen.

My circumstances have urged me to contemplate the meaning of life at a deeper level of late, and as a result of that I have developed an urgency to slow down, recalibrate, and live more purposefully - how can I make my years, however few or many there are, count?

Interestingly, it's not by the spray gun approach of simply 'doing more', but rather, it's through the process of eliminating what does not matter, to reveal the few objectives and people that really do in support of that.

When we are bogged down by unnecessary tension, our energy becomes heavy, our mind becomes chaotic and our direction in life, muddled. Stress can alter your posture, your breathing patterns and the way you show up in life.

How can we breathe so shallowly and yet expect it to support a life of deep purpose? We can't. Don't deny yourself of rest, because it is life-giving.

More clarity, energy, life force, wisdom, inner power, peace, freedom, delight, self love, joy, creativity, connection to others, capacity to expand and more.

So restore yourself, so that you may live more fully and with purpose.
